From the title it is clear that the book compares Islam and Secularism.The book intends to discuss the basic features of Islam and secularism, looks into aims and objectives of two systems and deals with other important topics.
So in the very first the writer has defined Islam and secularism. Next he discusses the meeting and differing point between them and argues that both systems want to make human life happy and purposeful but secularism can not do this because it is difficult for it to distinguish right and wrong and explain it logically.
➡️ Further, he mentions few characteristics of Islam. The first one is non-compromising, if something is liked by human but is harmful to him, so it is prohibited like, drinking and gambling, but on the other hand secularism allow these.
The second, Islam is natural.
The third, Islam has no contradiction in its declaration and practices.
The fourth, there is integration among all the subjects dealing with any aspect of life.In Islam there is intervention of divine guidance which not only correctly tells what is wrong and what is right but also provide strength to not compromise on human interest.
➡️ Secularism claims the human desire and wish as the main source of authority and desire can go against the reason, right and wrong.
➡️Islamic faith is based upon towhid, which make us free and freedom is fundamental to us.
When we accept authority of Allah we get sense of relief.
And with towhid we find meaning and purpose of life.
➡️Further, he has answered the most common objection of polygamy in Islam and has criticized the concept of marriage in secularism with logical arguments.
➡️ Next he has mentioned some unique characters of Quran as it has described some scientific facts fourteen centuries ago but modern science came to know these a few years ago or has to be proved it yet.
➡️In the next chapter he states the status of human in the Islam and raise some serious objections to the theory of evolution.
In the last chapter he has elaborately accounted the philosophy of Islamic worship system(philosophy of prayer, fasting, Zakat, Hajj etc).
