Research By Uzair Salar. یہ 24 دسمبر 1957 کا واقعہ ہے جب سٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان نے پہلی مرتبہ سو روپے مالیت کا ایسا کرنسی نوٹ جاری کیا جس پر بانی پاکستان محمد علی جناح کی تصویر چھپی ہوئی تھی علماء نے اس حکومتی اقدام کو مسلمانوں کے جذبات کی توہین قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ ’یہ انتہائی غیر اسلامی طریقہ‘ ہے۔ تفصیلات یہ کرنسی نوٹ بیک وقت کراچی، لاہور اور ڈھاکہ (موجودہ بنگلہ دیش) سے جاری ہوئے تھے۔ اس نوٹ پر سٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان کے اس وقت کے گورنر عبدالقادر کے دستخط تھے جو اُردو زبان میں کیے گئے تھے۔ یہ پاکستان کے پہلے کرنسی نوٹ تھے جن پر کوئی انسانی تصویر شائع ہوئی تھی۔ محمد علی جناح کی تصویر والے اس کرنسی نوٹ کے جاری ہونے کے بعد علما اور دیگر افراد کی جانب سے شدید ردعمل بھی دیکھنے میں آیا تھا اس سلسلے کی پہلی خبر 30 دسمبر 1957 کے روزنامہ جنگ میں شائع ہوئی۔ صدر مرکزی جمعیت علمائے پاکستان مولانا عبدالحامد بدایونی نے اس پر شدید احتجاج کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ بانی پاکستان کی زندگی میں ڈاک کے ٹکٹ پر اُن کی تصویر شائع کرنے کے معام
