Today's Blog on Communication Skills
On a topic that you can't speak and write; you have never read it or listened to it. If you can't write at least a book review of a book, you wasted your TEF(Time,Energy and Focus). You also paid opportunity cost as you missed something else which you could do instead of mere reading that book. You could eat or dance or climb a mountain in lieu of mere reading!
Apply empathy to be a great speaker. Once you're listening to a lecture or YouTube video etc, do at least thought experiment to imagine that you'll speak like the speaker once you finish listening to the speaker. And then do it like her. This will make your listening productive as now you'll reproduce what you listened.
Once you read something, imagine that you'll be writing like this yourself. Reader must be converted into writer. Change the roles. This will make your reading more effective and result- oriented.
Having said that, one must recognize the fact that changing roles from reader to writer and listener to speaker is excessively difficult. Only leaders or individuals with potential to lead can do so. Listening and Reading are passive and receptive skills. Majority of the people are passive and thus followers. Very few can lead and my this message is for the quite a few leaders as my mission is to produce leaders, not followers.

Communication is connection with current. Establishing communication loop to have clear message and conveying it intelligently as well as intelligibly is a great science and art as well as Spirituality as it needs spirit or energy along with DIKU( Data, information, knowledge and understanding).
