Why I am against Revolutions which are violent.
By Naeem Khan.
Why I am against Revolutions which are violent or based on the utopian ideals of Communism or other revolutionary ideologies ?
Revolutions do exist and we are witness to many Revolutions in History as American Revolution, French Revolution and Red or Communist Revolution.
An excellent study on this subject-matter is
"Anatomies of Revolutions by George Lawson".
Revolutions have many causes as against a dictator or to purify the world of infidels or fighting against injustice etc. Causes may have justifications especially for the bands of revolutionaries or their brand as religion, ideology or political system. However the modus operandi, repercussions, utility and sustainability do matter. Killing human beings or destroying nature for a revolutiona can never be a just act. Why not evolutionary process of education, training, Renaissance, Enlightenment, Modernism, Postmodernism, Science and Philosophy instead of bloodbath and momentary change which disappears like Communist Revolution after few decades.
Revolutions were usually unsuccessful except American Revolution as it was followed by democracy, human rights, Capitalism, prosperity and pursuit of happiness. The French Revolution used physical force to hurt, damage, or kill. It was filled with excessive and single-minded zeal. It especially targeted aristocrats, clerics and Catholics etc. There was no monarchy as it established the First Republic in 1792. But the Republic was again replaced by a dictator in 1804. Again Monarchy came back after the defeat of Napoleon. They got to the point where they started.
