Who Was Shari Baloch, The Lady Committed Suicide Attack In Karachi University. Life Story Of Shari Baloch.

Since many friends have been asking about the Baloch lady, who carried out Karachi University suicide attack. Here is little detail I can offer at this moment.

Shari, aka Baramsh, was a primary school teacher in her native Kech district. She completed her B.Ed in 2014 and M.Ed in 2018. She did her Master's in zoology from the University of Balochistan and Mphil at Allama Iqbal Open University, Turbat campus.

Shari has two kids, each as old as five. Her husband is a dentist doctor, and her father served as a Director in a government agency. Later her father was a member of the District Council for three years.

Her brother-in-law is a lecturer. The family is a well-established and highly educated, and peaceful family. One of her uncles is an author, a former professor, and human rights campaigner.

It may be difficult to know exactly what provoked her to join the Baloch armed struggle. However, she remained a member of Baloch Students Organisation (BSO_Azad) her student life.

None of her family members are missing or subjected to enforced disappearance except a fifth cousin who got killed during a military operation in 2018 in Kech.

The tactics to employ a woman in suicide bombings have raised some questions: Is the #Baloch insurgency redefining itself? Why use females now in such attacks and not before? Are these women brainwashed or coerced?

So who was Shari Baloch, the 1st Baloch woman to carry out a suicide attack?

BLA says The 30 year old joined the group 2 years ago & volunteered herself for “self sacrificing mission”. She had a Masters degree in Zoology & MPhil in education while teaching at a school.

#ShariBalochhas had two kids (8 & 5 years old). Her husband, Habitan Bashir Baloch, is a dentist & her father was a lecturer.

Her husband tweeted from an unknown location that he is proud of what she did.

None of #ShariBaloch family members are directly harmed by #Pakistan army, so her choosing this path must ring alarm bells.

Whatever her reasons are for her action, it surely opens a new bloody chapter in #Baloch armed struggle.

Correction:

ShariBaloch’s father was not a lecturer but a government servant. He has also served in Turbat district as auditor.

The family is well educated and had no connection with armed groups which shows h?ow the Baloch youth see the situation in Balochistan.
