MAHJABEEN QAZALBASH.. Good Bye to a great singer.
By Shah Jehan Khan
Once in a full moon of a summer night on my rooftop which is my friends favorite place after the sunset, she was there too, In the bright moon we could clearly see Khyber mountains in the south and west. Honestly, her recorded Pashtu songs never fascinated me, I always felt as something is missing. But that night she sang few songs with out mic and sound system,..I was shocked..Oh nothing was missing, mesmerizing. What a voice we lost.
Mahjabeen had Turko-Persian origin. her forefathers had shifted from Iran to Qandahar and then to Peshawar.
