Plato ,the great Greek philosopher ,poet ,political expert

 Plato ,the great Greek philosopher ,poet ,political expert ,who tremendously affected the whole western philosophy.

He was largely influenced by Pythagorus ,Permenides and Socrates.He wrote famous political science books " Republic,The Statesman,The Law,and some others dialogues i.e., Apology,Phaeeo,Crito, Symposium,Meno  etc.

Plato understood this world as the imagination or duplicate photocopy of World of Form or Real World.

Besides on politics in his great book Republic ,where he gave the system of communism ,and prohibited from owning private property.He also placed kingship for philosopher , because philosopher is the man who would rule the state in the better way .

In the state he divided people in three classes ,first rulers or philosophers who would rule; secondly,the army who would defend the state ,and thirdly common mass who would take part in trade and common activities in the betterment of state.He laid great stress   on the implementation of justice system which is fundamental essence for the progress of the state.

He opened his Academy where people from different parts came to get knowledge of philosophy, politics,ethics,law, mathematics,etc .From his Academy the great philosopher emerged was Aristotle ,who studied in Academy almost twenty years from Plato.There is no doubt that Western philosophy even Eastern philosophy also largely influenced by him."Azhar Hussain"
