This isn’t a magnificent representation of the Kaaba in millions of dollars worth of diamonds. It is a testament to the poverty of the intellect of todays custodians of the Kaaba and their wastage of the wealth that surrounds it. 

The wealth which belongs to the people.  Our prophet saw people showing off wealth by wearing unnecessarily long clothes which dragged on the floor. 

His disgust with the ostentatious display had him declare that whatever is below the ankles will be in the fire. 

To leach wealth from the ground the prophet walked on ..Which should belong to the people of the country & then to keep it instead in the hands of the few chosen only by proximity of blood ties is not Islam. 

Then to use it to bestow arbitrary favour of such high worth upon people you seek to show off your wealth to; is not Islam.

Imran khan prays for a relationship of dignity with the Americans. 

I join that prayer, with the addition that may we also have a relationship of dignity with the gulf Muslim countries as well; who see our leaders as purchasable and our labour as dispensable.

Imagine the mentality that allowed a ruler to give a watch worth this much to the leader of a nation where 4 in 10 children are stunted due to malnutrition. 

Imagine the recipient selling that watch given to him as leader of such a poor nation & using the proceeds for himself.
