Pashtun volunteers from current KPK, Kashmiris & some Afghans fought together against Indian army from 1947-48. Pashtun tribesmen entered Kashmir from Pakistan,in response to the mass killing of Muslims. Logistical support was provided by Gov of Pakistan.
