Ghani Khan transcendent ego/absolute self.
By Maaz Yousafzai.
Looking at the history of Western metaphysics, we learn that most of the philosophers have been logocentric in their thinking, that is, they believed 'meaning' originates from some 'logos' (source of meaning), which is pure and undefiled. Sometimes in the works of certain poets and philosophers, this logos becomes internalised and is known as transcendent ego/absolute self.
In the poem below, Ghani Khan also seems to have internalised the logos. He considers himself as the originary source of all meanings; that's all meanings emanating from within his 'self'. In other words, he himself becomes the 'transcendental signified', and so he sings:
Che za na ym be'mani Janat asman dy,
Da Jahan da soz aw meeni mukhtar za ym.
