Why Public Gatherings and Jalsas of PTI are crowded?

Why Public Gatherings and Jalsas of PTI are crowded? There is not a single but multiple reasons which are discussed below in very simple language. 

Cult politics: 

Cult politics is one of the attributes of Pakistan’s Political culture. In Cult Politics, politically immature and ignorant people are attracted by rhetorical speeches based on emotions rather than reason and rationality. In Cult politics, people observe deep and emotional attachment for political leaders and there is no concept to criticise and question the politics experienced and done by politicians in Cult Politics. Our Youth is always easily deceived and exploited because of their indifference to politics and their love for Cult politics and extense devotion for particular political party or political personality. There is highly romanticism in Cult Politics. 

Monopoly of Influential people:

In Pakistan, we have Khanism in Khyber Pukhton Khwa, chaudhry or Chaudhries in Punjab, Sardars in Balochistan and Wadares in Sindh. The mentioned are the bigger and influential people in the politics of Pakistan and the majority of people are politically represented by them. They are mostly feudal lords and Capitalists who claim political monopoly in their respective political constituencies. They lead, dominate and exploit people while representing them politically. There are always Monologues instead of Dialogues politically. Their voters are controlled and they don’t have a say in politics. Voters are given Class Four Jobs and other minor things and their political life is compromised. Voters are forced to accept the dictatorship of political leaders. Majority of the voters participate in public meetings and political gatherings on the call of their political leaders. Majority of the voters helplessly join such gatherings with great reluctance while keeping stones on their hearts. They feel the oppression of above mentioned people’s who are oppressors. In short, the life of voters is almost controlled and they receive and act upon the dictations of their masters who are feudals, capitalists, elites, and oppressors. In few, places or constituencies there is the leading of Middle class people but it’s very exceptional and almost low in degree. PTI has slightly marginalised the politics of socially and economically dominant and influential people but its positive outcomes can’t be seen.

Youth: 

The success of PTI is Youth as we know 65 percent population of Pakistan comprises on Youth. The Youth of Pakistan is easily deceived because it is quick to hope. Majority of youngsters both male and female in PTI unquestionably and unreasonably involved in politics and their association is based on emotions rather than reason. Youth is the victim of populist politics and they welcome rhetoric narratives of political populist leaders particularly the chairman of PTI. They don’t question the deceptive behaviour and politics of their leaders nor they can’t because they have been made to believe on false statements and notions offered by their leaders. Interestingly, they take keen interest in the personality of Imaran khan and consider him as handsome man because of his physical decoration but they have nothing to do with his compromised and deceptive politics. They wanted  the Premiership of Imran khan and his perseverance but they had nothing to do with disturbed economy, inflation, injustices, corruption and poverty. Youth didn’t even think of administration of Imran khan that it didn’t anything for youth empowerment. In education sector, various scholarships and laptop schemes have been withdrawn by government which was supported greatly supported by Youth. Finally, public meetings and gatherings of PTI is filled because of that directionless and politically immature youth. Other parties’ supporters are mostly aged people and they are busy in their works therefore we don’t see great crowds in their public meetings and Jalsas but youth is free and they don’t have engagements.

Entertainment value:

Great number of people attend the gatherings of PTI just for entertainment purpose as you know there is a special arrangement for music and other more colours. Renowned singers and artists have contributed for PTI, attracting people.

The participation of women class in these gatherings is one the great causes to make the crowd huge as physically beautiful young girls and women attend the gatherings which too attract male youth. In these gatherings, many harassment cases are reported routinely and even love stories are made in it.

 In short, entertainment value has much to do with these gatherings.

PTI’s own venues and Constituencies:

They only make huge crowd in gatherings in those constituencies in which they have elected MNAs and MPAs but they can’t make in those constituencies in which they don’t have elected representatives. This point is deeply related with above mentioned heading number two named “Monopoly of Influential people”.
