 Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baqaei stated that the US has responded to Iran’s proposal through the Pakistani mediator, and Tehran is currently reviewing the response before presenting its official reply.

He further confirmed that Tehran’s current 14-point plan is solely focused on ending the war and does not include any nuclear negotiations or uranium enrichment suspension proposals, rejecting recent media claims as fabricated.

He emphasized that Iran is currently concentrating only on war-ending arrangements related to the region, including Lebanon, and said there are no nuclear talks at this stage.

Baqaei also dismissed reports about Iran committing to mine-clearance operations with US participation, calling them media inventions.

Regarding guarantees, he stated that Iran’s real guarantee lies in its own power and leverage.

ایران کی وزارتِ خارجہ کے ترجمان اسماعیل بقائی نے کہا ہے کہ امریکہ نے ایران کی تجویز کا جواب پاکستانی ثالث کے ذریعے دے دیا ہے، اور تہران اس وقت اس جواب کا جائزہ لے رہا ہے، جس کے بعد اپنا باضابطہ ردعمل پیش کرے گا۔

انہوں نے مزید وضاحت کی کہ ایران کا موجودہ 14 نکاتی منصوبہ صرف جنگ کے خاتمے پر مرکوز ہے اور اس میں کسی قسم کے جوہری مذاکرات یا یورینیم افزودگی معطل کرنے کی تجاویز شامل نہیں ہیں۔ انہوں نے اس حوالے سے گردش کرنے والی خبروں کو من گھڑت قرار دیا۔

بقائی نے زور دے کر کہا کہ ایران اس وقت صرف خطے میں جنگ کے خاتمے سے متعلق امور پر توجہ دے رہا ہے، جن میں لبنان بھی شامل ہے، اور اس مرحلے پر کوئی جوہری مذاکرات زیر غور نہیں ہیں۔

انہوں نے ان خبروں کو بھی مسترد کر دیا جن میں کہا گیا تھا کہ ایران نے امریکہ کی شمولیت کے ساتھ بارودی سرنگوں کی صفائی کے لیے رضامندی ظاہر کی ہے، اور انہیں میڈیا کی ایجاد قرار دیا۔

ضمانتوں کے حوالے سے انہوں نے کہا کہ ایران کی اصل ضمانت اس کی اپنی طاقت اور اثر و رسوخ میں ہے۔
